The 2022 Honda Insight is a compact sedan powered by a hybrid engine. It comes in two trim levels, which are EX and Touring. The driver and front passenger have 39.3 inches of headroom and 42.3 inches of legroom. The second row is slightly smaller, offering 36.9 inches of headroom and 37.4 inches of legroom.

On the LX trim, standard comfort and convenience features include automatic climate control with rear ducts, cloth upholstery, and ambient console lighting. It also comes with an eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite and HD radio, an 8-inch touch screen, and dual front USB ports. Stepping up to the Touring trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and power front seats. On the tech side, this model also has a premium 10-speaker sound system, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

Every 2022 Insight comes equipped with an extensive safety suite known as Honda Sensing. The suite includes a rearview camera, forward collision warning with mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and a traffic sign recognition system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and automatic high beams are also standard.
