The Passport is available in attractive exterior colors such as Radiant Red Metallic II, Obsidian Blue Pearl, and Lunar Silver Metallic. You can choose from three trim levels: the EX-L, Trailsport, and Elite.

The base trim is abundantly equipped. Standard features include a power tailgate, LED projector low-beam headlights, dual exhaust finishers, and heated mirrors with a reverse tilt-down function. The trim also comes with a power moonroof, a power tailgate, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Added features provided with the off-road-oriented Trailsport trim include LED fog lights, roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, and a heated wiper rest zone. The top-of-the-line Elite trim receives unique 20-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and a hands-free power tailgate.

All Passport trims are powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. It's mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and generates 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive comes standard across the board.

For the 2023 model year, all Passport trims come standard with a torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system, which provides added traction on rough or slippery surfaces. An Intelligent Traction Management System that features snow, mud, and sand modes also comes standard. In addition, the Passport also houses a fully independent suspension, which provides a maneuverable ride on rocky roads. If you're into off-road adventures, opt for the Trailsport trim, which is equipped with standard features such as steel skid plates, beefy tires, and off-road-ready springs and dampers.

The cabin of the Passport provides ample seating space for both front and rear passengers and the cargo area is also roomy. With the seats up, you receive a cargo area of 41.2 cubic feet, while folding the rear seats down opens up 77.7 cubic feet of space.

The cabin is also upscale and fitted with quality materials and a wide range of premium features. The standard 8-inch infotainment system, for instance, is both well-equipped and easy to use. Apart from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, standard features include seven speakers, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, HD Radio, and a wireless phone charger.

Other standard features offered with the base trim include leather-trimmed and heated front seats, push-button start, and underfloor storage under the rear cargo area. You also receive tri-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and driver's seat memory settings.

The two higher trims add various upgrades, such as a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a Wi-Fi hotspot, ambient interior lighting, and a 10-speaker premium sound system.

As far as standard driver-assist features are concerned, the Passport is generously equipped. Included in the long list of standard features are front-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, road-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. You also receive lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
